Too many hateful comments

I can't take it any more. I deleted the post that was causing all the controversy along with each of the comments, both good and bad. Such a sad day for my blog.

I can't imagine any post you do attracting haters. But I guess you're right; hater's gonna hate.

I read every post.....never read one that was in any way offensive.

Haters gonna hate. They are why we have delete buttons.

Trolls are evil....they don't deserve to be seen or read.

I did not see the post. But I have looked at your page nearly every day for the last 5 years or so. And you have never posted anything objectionable. So, if people cannot be polite about one post that they found objectionable, then they are very wrong. Keep your chin up and don't let them mess up your day any more!!! I love your blog!!! I saw a great quote today..."An entire sea of water cannot sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. The negativity of the world cannot bring you down unless you allow it to get inside of you."

I must have missed what drew their ire, but like the previous comment, I can't imagine your posting anything that would have drawn bona fide hate mail. But in this day and time, there is no such thing as a polite conversation if the subject contains even a "smidgen" of something that could be construed as political. I have crossed off a couple of blogs on my daily read list (blogs which normally post nothing of a political nature) when they out-of-the-blue blurt out a mild rant on their political position on a particular subject. Don't feel bad, Rosemary ... it's not you--it's just the times, and unfortunately we have to think twice before opening our mouth about anything. :-)

I echo what's already been said; as a regular reader, I've never seen anything posted here that was the least bit offensive.
How extremely offensive it is that someone would write hateful comments.
Please take courage, and carry on!

You have a beautiful blog. I must have missed the post because I have never seen anything that could be considered even the slightest controversial. Sorry that there are those out there who just live to be mean. I love your blog!

What everyone above said. I read your blog all the time for the lovely photos and the tales/tails of Webster & Tabitha. Love it and you!

Oh, gee. I read your blog every day and I am sad that the vitriolic plague that inhabits the rest of the internet has had a visit here.

I've never understood why people just can't take a deep breath and open a civilized dialogue when they encounter an opinion they don't agree with.

So very sorry to hear about this, Rosemary. I don't want to see the internet restricted or regulated but there's some pretty hateful people out there. It's worrisome that they can get so worked up about something quite trivial. Makes you wonder what happens to them when confronted by something truly terrible. Yikes.

Don't let it get you down. You blog is absolutely wonderful and it is one of the first things I look for each morning. You start my day. That, and coffee. ;-)

I read your blog everyday, and always enjoy it. Some people just have to complain or be mean. So sorry it happened to you! Try not to take it personally. Your blog is great!

I agree with the others. I can't imagine what you could have posted. Your blog is like a sweet collection that I enjoy visiting. Don't let them hurt your feelings.

Oh Rosemary ... I was totally lost until one of these responses touched on a word that resonated.

I think my comment mentioned something about the climate being so incredibly hateful in current times. I too am fed up and never discuss the subject whether I agree or disagree.

It makes me so frustrated, I cannot tell you. I never thought I'd be so discouraged ... So I totally understand your feelings.

Hang in there ... As all these responses indicate, you and your posts are well loved.

Best ... Karen in VA

I can't imagine you posting anything controversial or in ill taste.......people have nothing better to do with their time than post anonymous miserable comments. Keep smiling!

What??? You have a wonderful blog that I look forward to seeing at the end of each day! I guess I missed whatever it was that made someone unhappy, but I think there are far more of us out here who love what you do. Keep going!

Thanks for having my back everyone. I'm fine--really. I should have just deleted the negative comments but decided to take the whole post down. I'll reblog the Wonderful Screens sometime in the future. I guess you're never to old to be bullied by mean girls :-)

Hi Rosemary, I never usually comment but today I find I just have to. I love looking at your blog each and every day. please don't give into the negative mean people who feel they have the right to tell you what content you put on your blog. Your blog gives me a smile every day!! It's a good thing I live in Australia or else I think I might just steal that Webster. Love him. Have a great day and chin up. Tracey.

There are a lot of hateful people in the world. I don't know why they feel they must lash out but they certainly do.
I can't imagine ANYTHING that you could have posted that would have brought anything but compliments. I've been reading your blog forever and just love the beautiful things you show.

I am so sorry the negative unpleasant attitudes made their appearance here......I have been reading your blog for years and it is one of two I visit first thing each morning.....it is always a lovely place to visit.....I have only commented twice; one being on that particular post.....many of us readers are kindred spirits but hopefully are intelligent and civilized enough not to be nasty and judgmental with other views.....many of us love and appreciate this blog so please don't change it and or be afraid to express yourself......Hoping this is a good day for you and those dear furry ones.......Dianne..DBH

I too missed this blog and that is unusual for me. I look forward to your daily entry and thank you for the endless energy you have preparing your thoughts and photos. I can't imagine you posting something that it would cause such negative comments. I've learned throughout my life that most of the folks who rant negatively have a void in their lives that they are trying to fill by striking out and hurting others. It is these folks who need to seek counseling. I look forward to you reposting this item.

Wow - I missed that one! I can't imagine what all the fuss was about, and I won't be redundant, but I have always found your blog to be sensitive, beautiful and thoughtful. I am quite sure that any hateful comments were not coming from your regular readers. We love you and hope you are not discouraged. Look forward to your blog regularly.

I read your blog everyday and brings joy to my heart. I find the pictures the articles always interesting and insightful. I think when you do something really good there is going to be people who are jealous and try to stir things up. You make a difference in what you do and you must go onn and continue even stronger.

I can't imagine anything offensive on your sweet, lovely blog. It's like a breath of fresh air and I end each day enjoying it. Some people just seem to get mean & nasty when they can't be seen talking and it's so unfortunate! Don't let it get to you and please don't change a thing about your delightful blog!! It really is special!
