Belton House - Grantham, Lincolnshire England

It's gorgeous, isn't it? via This manor house has nothing to do with the Earl of Grantham in Downton Abbey. I'm really enjoying Grantchester on Masterpiece Mystery. Are you watching?
So far the blizzard hasn't arrived at my cottage. I'm hoping it's more of a coastal thing and won't be as bad as the reporters are saying it might be. The heavy snow and winds will be here after midnight. Be safe and warm. Fingers crossed for us all. xo

Between Downton Abbey and Grantchester, Sunday evenings are pure joy. I record them so I can watch over and over. Downton, first time through you're concentrating on the dialogue, second time the costumes, third time the furnishings, fourth time the scenery and one and on....;-) Taped last night's episode and will watch it over and over again just as I have the others. This time I was thrilled to see even just a smidgen of Isobel's house when Lord Merton came to propose. Frankly, I LOVED it when Lord Grantham finally blew up. As Mary said to Miss Bunting, "Happy now?" Gawd, Bunting gets on my nerves, as one fellow said, she'd argue with a parking meter. Sometimes Isobel seems a little dense....first insisting Bunting be asked to dinner in the first place and then the "Brava" after little Daisy's speech. Great show.

Grantchester is right up there too. Love it. Wish they'd show more of little Dickens.

I hope it won't be as bad as predicted also. Husband made it to West Point, NY today which is an hour north of NYC. Hopefully he will be able to get back home on Wednesday, the original return plan had been for tomorrow.

I'm loving Grantchester too. Sidney is such a scrumptious vicar.

The UK has the best stately homes, I've never seen one I didn't just love.

Keep us update.

I am watching Grantchester as well and I rather like it. I read your blog through Feedly. I should stop by more blogs that I read to say hello and let you know I appreciate your blog.
