Foggy Morning + Dahlia Bud's Day 3

The morning fog is the result of last night's rain and an already hot Monday morning. I watched Miss Potter again last night on Hoopla, a free movie service powered by my library card. That is a movie you can watch over and over and love more each time.

Here we have Miss Dahlia on Day 3. I couldn't be happier with this color which is a dark burgundy that looks almost black in a certain light. If all the tubers turn out to be this variety, I will be thrilled. This site is a good one if you want to learn more about dahlias. xo

Here is is after lunch when all the rain and dew drops were burned off by the sun. It gets prettier every time I walk past.

Row of Trees with Fog

This is a lovely portrait mode photo of a stand of trees, perfectly spaced. When planted long ago, someone had a vision and knew how far apart to plant them so they could mature in place and not be crowded. This is the way trees are supposed to look, flared at the base. It always upsets me when I see landscapers covering the natural flare with mulch volcanoes. via

Foggy Morning with Rosemary

I woke up to a really foggy Friday morning. The rosemary plants didn't seem to mind. They are very happy to be outdoors again after a long winter inside.

Pink Fog at My Cottage This Morning

I woke up early this morning and my bedroom was enveloped in pink. I hopped out of bed, grabbed my Nikon, and captured this rare pink fog. This photo is right out of the camera with no filters. It was probably the result of the refracted color of the sunrise bouncing off the morning fog. It didn't last long before turning to the normal gray. I'm happy I woke up just in the nick of time. Maybe I'll have purple rain later (smile).

More Trees with Fog and TCM

I seem to be stuck on two things lately. Fog and Turner Classic Movies. I watched Come to the Stable today and it was wonderful I missed the first 20 minutes but I clicked by just in time to immediately understand what was going on. Now mind you, I really wasn't planning on watching a movie!!! But sometimes you just can't help yourself when you get sucked in. My cable company added this channel very recently to my plan and I'm thrilled. Classic movies and no commercials.
Now back to fog. I know it's Christmas but I have fog on the brain. Literally. It is getting closer and closer and I sit watching movies. That's my story for today. I went to a great Christmas party last night that was very festive. Others are ready and I am not. But I will get more motivated tomorrow. Hopefully. xo

Fog This Morning

Here is another fog photo from this morning with Webster rounding the bend. Today was very enjoyable with nothing pressing to do. Worked outside for a bit moving wood chips, trying to take advantage of the mild weather. Moving towards the bedroom now. 'Night. See you tomorrow.

Webster in This Morning's Fog

Hers's the Wonder Dog silhouetted in this morning's fog. We are having some very nice weather. I didn't even have on a coat when we went out early this morning to snap some fog photos. A flannel shirt and a scarf around my neck kept me cozy. I didn't even need gloves. It will be quite a shock when it finally gets cold for good, won't it? I had my gutters cleaned on Wednesday and I was so happy that the hose could still be used at the end after all the leaves were removed to wash them out and clear all the downspouts before winter sets in. The timing was perfect. Now I can turn off my outside faucets.
I had a great Thanksgiving and hope you did too. See you later. xo
